Can I try the service before paying? +

How do I log into cPanel? +
Your cPanel login URL (typically yourdomain.com/cpanel or yourdomain.com:2083), username, and password are sent when your account is activated. If you have forgotten your details, contact us to reset.
How do I install WordPress? +
Log into cPanel, go to Softaculous Apps Installer, and click WordPress. The wizard takes under 5 minutes. Our team can assist if needed.
How do I upload my website files? +
Use the File Manager in cPanel or connect via FTP using software like FileZilla. Upload files to the public_html folder. Your FTP credentials are in your welcome email.
Can I host multiple websites? +
Yes โ except on the Starter plan (1 site). Business supports 5 sites, Professional 15, and Enterprise unlimited. Add extra websites via Addon Domains in cPanel.
How do I create a database for WordPress? +
In cPanel, go to MySQL Databases. Create a database and a user, assign the user to the database with all privileges, then use those credentials during WordPress installation.
My website is slow โ what should I do? +
First, run it through
GTmetrix to identify bottlenecks. Common fixes: enable caching (LiteSpeed Cache plugin), optimise images, and reduce plugin count. Contact us if the issue persists and we will investigate server-side.
My website is completely down โ what do I do? +
Check this
Status Page for known incidents. Then try on a mobile data connection โ if it loads there, the issue may be local (clear your cache). If it is down everywhere, contact us immediately via WhatsApp โ we treat outages as the top priority.
How do I create a professional email address? +
In cPanel, go to Email Accounts โ Create. Enter the address (e.g. info@yourbusiness.com.na), set a strong password, and click Create. Done in under 60 seconds.
How do I access my email online? +
Visit mail.yourdomain.com or click Webmail in cPanel. Log in with your full email address and password. We recommend the Roundcube webmail client.

Can I use my YanaHosts email with Gmail? +
Yes. In Gmail, go to Settings โ Accounts and Import โ Add a mail account. Enter your email address and use the IMAP settings above. You can send and receive your business email from within Gmail.
How do I register a .com.na domain? +
Visit our
Domains page or include a domain in your hosting order. We handle all registry submissions on your behalf. .com.na domains are processed by NIC-NA (via UNAM) and typically take 1โ3 business days.
How long does domain registration take? +
.com, .net, .org: usually within minutes. .africa: up to 24 hours. .com.na and .na: 1โ3 business days (manual NIC-NA processing). We will notify you as soon as your domain is active.
How do I point my domain to my hosting? +
If registered with us โ we do it automatically. If registered elsewhere, update your nameservers to ns1.yanahosts.africa and ns2.yanahosts.africa. DNS changes take up to 48 hours to propagate globally.
How do I add DNS records (MX, TXT, CNAME)? +
In cPanel, go to Zone Editor. You can add, edit, or delete any DNS record there. Contact us if you need help with specific records.
Can I transfer my domain to YanaHosts? +
Yes. Request your EPP/auth code from your current registrar, then contact us to initiate the transfer. ICANN requires a 60-day lock period after recent domain changes. Transfer fees apply.
What happens if my domain expires? +
We send renewal reminders well in advance. Most registries provide a grace period (typically 30 days) after expiry where the domain can be renewed at the standard rate. After that, a redemption fee applies. Contact us immediately if a domain has lapsed โ do not delay.
How do I pay? +
We accept EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) to our Bank Windhoek business account. Payment details are provided on your invoice. Please use your unique order reference number as the payment reference so we can match your payment.
Do prices include VAT? +
All listed prices on our website exclude 15% Namibian VAT. VAT is itemised separately on your invoice.
How do I get a copy of my invoice? +
Invoices are emailed when issued. For duplicates or statements, contact us at

Can I upgrade my plan? +
Yes โ at any time. Contact us and we will migrate your account to the higher plan. Upgrades are typically completed within 24 business hours with no downtime.
What if I miss a renewal payment? +
We send reminders before and after expiry. Accounts not renewed within 7 days of expiry may be suspended. Accounts not renewed within 30 days may be terminated and data deleted. Contact us if you are having difficulty โ we will work with you.

Is SSL included? +
Yes โ all hosting plans include free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates for your domains. SSL is configured automatically and renews every 90 days.
Are backups included? +
Business, Professional, and Enterprise plans include daily automated backups retained for 7 days. Starter plan clients should maintain their own backups. We strongly recommend all clients keep their own regular off-site backups regardless of plan.
How do I restore from a backup? +
Contact us at
sales@yanahosts.africa or via WhatsApp and specify the date you want to restore to. Restore requests are processed within 24 business hours. Note that restoring will overwrite current files.
My site has been hacked โ what do I do? +
Contact us immediately via WhatsApp. Do not delete anything โ we need to investigate. Common causes include outdated WordPress/plugins and weak passwords. We will help you clean and secure the site. Prevention: always keep your CMS and plugins updated.
How do I make my cPanel account more secure? +
Use a strong, unique password (at least 16 characters). Enable two-factor authentication in cPanel if available. Keep WordPress and all plugins updated. Scan regularly for malware using cPanel's built-in tools or a security plugin like Wordfence.
